IETS Cancellation Policy

Worshops:

Cancellation by IETS:

All workshops require a minimum registration to run. Workshops particularly at risk are indicated on your registration confirmation by the sentence: “This workshop is to be confirmed.” IETS will confirm at risk workshops two weeks before the workshop start date. Do not make any non-refundable travel plans until a workshop has been confirmed.

In the event that insufficient registration warrants cancellation of a workshop, you will be notified at least 14 days prior to the start of the program and will receive a full refund in the same manner in which the registration fee was paid.
IETS is not responsible for refunding travel fees and other expenses incurred by participants.

In the unlikely event of an unforeseen emergency, such as inclement weather or illness of the presenter, the workshop will be postponed and registrations “rolled over” automatically unless the participant notifies IETS differently. Participants unable to attend the new date will be provided with full credit for registration for a future workshop.

Cancellation by Participant:

  • Registrations canceled two weeks prior to the workshop start date are eligible for a full refund.
  • Registrations canceled one week prior to the program are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
  • Participants who cancel within one week prior to the workshop start date are liable for the full amount of the registration fee.
  • In the event of an unforeseen emergency prohibiting workshop attendance, IETS will issue the payee a credit for the next scheduled workshop series only. For example, if a participant falls ill and cannot attend a workshop scheduled in February, s/he has until the end of the summer session workshop series (August) to use the credit. A credit that is not used by the end of the following workshop series is forfeited.
  • Please be advised that IETS confirms all cancellation requests and issues all credits by e-mail.

Webinars:

Q: Can I cancel or get a refund?

A. Any cancellation and request for refund or credit must be received in writing no later than 24 hours before the webinar. A $35 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund check or credit. Refund will be made in the in the same manner in which the registration fee was paid.
